Starting Saturday, July 13, turnstiles will be activated to access the track area of Milano Centrale station. This measure is being taken to increase security at the station by preventing access to the track area for people without a valid travel ticket.
To open the automated turnstiles, you must use your own travel ticket.
Currently, cross-border travel tickets purchased through Arcobaleno/FFS channels, reloadable tickets purchased at Trenord's physical sales points, and digital tickets purchased on trenord.it and the App are not correctly recognized by the automated turnstile readers.
Therefore, holders of these tickets must go to the turnstiles manned by staff, who will manually open the turnstile after verifying the travel ticket. Staff are present at the station every day from 7.00 to 22.00, outside of this time slot, trains are accessed through Gate B, which is always supervised, while Gate D is used to exit the platform floor.
Travelcards loaded on the Io Viaggio card are already enabled to pass through the turnstiles.
